The Twisted Claw
I just finished the book, The Twisted Claw, by Franklin W. Dixon, is 177 pages long. This book is about the Hardy boys, Frank and Joe, getting lost into a cave when they realize their in the middle of smuggling plan. As soon as they can the Hardy's rush home to get some help and head back to the cave for some mystery.
Football Hero
The book Football Hero, by Tim Green, is a 297 long page book. The book is about a young boy who try's out for the football team, and surprisingly, he makes it. Ty has enough problems at home with his mom and dad dead and having to live with his dreaded uncle, Gus. Whats even worse then that is that Gus owns a floor cleaning business, and Ty has to work for him. The bright side to it all is that Thane, Ty's brother was just the #1 overall draft pick in the NFL. I recommend this book to anybody that loves football and mischief.
Elijah of Buxton
I finished the book, Elijah of Buxton, which is a 341 page book, is by Christopher Paul Curtis. This book is about a young African-American boy that is treated like someone of equal race, until he goes down to Michigan. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves rising action all through out the story.

Soccer Halfback
Soccer Halfback, by Matt Christopher is 182 pages long and is about a kid who has to decide to play football or soccer. He goes with his heart and plays soccer instead of following his father and playing football. I reccomend this book to anybody who has had to pick a choice between a sport.
Stamford Wong Flunks Big Time
In Stanford Wong Flunks Big Time, by Lisa Lee is 296 pages is about a 6th grade boy who is an extreme basketball player. He has his eyes set on a basketball camp for the summer when he flunks in English. He has to stay home for summer school instead of going to the basketball camp. Is he going to make it through summer school? You will have to read it to find out.

Dragon Road
Dragon Road, by Laurence Lep, which is 285 pages long, is about a young athlete having a dream to play professional basketball. He loves the game and plays "playground" ball with his best friend, Barney, they go around earning some money playing ball. When they finally realize they want to do bigger and better things outside Chinatown, they except an offer to play on a travel basketball team.. They travel all over the country playing other teams. This book is about excitement and haertach as Yeng goes around the country.
Freidrich
Friedrich, by Hans Peter Richter, is 147 pages long and is about a young Jewish boy facing the challenges of the Holocaust. Friedrich is always facing obstacles like having his mom die, or his dad being arrested and deported. Despite all of his troubles Friedrich is happy for what he has. It shows that he is determined to live and is strong willed during the hardships he faces along the way of his life.

Freshman Quarterback
Freshman Quarterback, by Dean E. Smith is 210 pages and is a inspiring book that shows even if you are not treated fairly that you should never quit. Chip Hilton is a freshman at State University and tried out for the football team. Chip and his other friends face different challenges numerous times in this book. The Booster Stars are treated like kings even though Chip and his crew are better then them. Booster Stares are people who get a scholarship and live in the same house as people who also got scholarships. Everything is paid for them meanwhile the other football players who didn't get a scholarships have to pay for everything. Even though Chip is treated unfairly, he fights hard to stay on the team and not quit.
